General Skill Migration (GSM)

This visa allows you to:
  • Stay in Australia permanently

  • Work and study Any where in Australia

  • Enrolin Australia’s public health care scheme, Medicare

  • Sponsor eligible relatives for permanent residence

  • If eligible, become an Australian citizen

To receive an invitation, you must:
  • Present an Expression of Interest (EOI)

  • Meet the skills requirement on the skilled occupation list

  • Undergo a skills assessment for the occupation

  • Under 45 years old on the date of invitation

  • Must have at  least competent English

  • Have a score of at least 65 on the points test

  • Meet additional requirements of the relevant stream

This visa allows you to:
  • Stay in Australia permanently

  • Work and study in Australia

  • Travel to and from Australia for 5 years

  • Be nominatedby an Australian state or territory government agency or indicate that you will be sponsored by an eligible relative.

  • Meet the skills requirement on the skilled occupation list

  • Undergo a skills assessment for the occupation

  • Undergo a thorough skills assessment for the occupation

  • Under 45 years old on the date of invitation

  • Must have at  least competent English

  • Have a score of at least 65 on thepoints test

  • Meet additional requirements of the relevant stream

This visa allows you to:
  • Work in Australia, for up to 2 years for short-term stream and up to 4 years for medium-long term stream

  • Hong Kong and BNO passport holders may stay up to 5 years

  • Study

  • Travel to and from Australia as many times as you want while the visa is valid

  • if eligible, apply for permanent residence

To be eligible, you must:
  • No age limit for this visa

  • If you apply in Australia – hold an eligible visa and complied all visa conditions

  • Be sponsored by an approved employer

  • Have relevant skills, qualifications and employment background to perform occupation

  • Have at least 2 years of experience in the nominated occupation or related field

  • Undergo a skills assessment for the occupation

  • Short-term stream: Meet IELTS5 (or equivalent) with minimum score of 4.5 for each band or equivalent

  • Medium-long term stream: Meet IELTS5 (or equivalent) with minimum score of 5 for each band or equivalent

  • Meet additional requirements of the relevant stream

This visa allows you to:
  • Stay in Australia permanently

  • Live, study and work in Australia indefinitely

  • Sponsor eligible family members to come to Australia

  • Apply for Australian citizenship, if eligible

To be eligible, you must:
  • Under45 years old; unless you meet the exemption criteria

  • Have an eligible occupation on  skilled occupation list

  • Have at least 3 years relevant work experience

  • Hold mandatory license, registration or membership of a professional body in the state you intend to work in

  • Undergo a skills assessment for the occupation

  • Be nominated by an approved employer

  • Must have at  least competent English

  • Meet additional requirements of the relevant stream.

This visa allows you to:
  • live, work and study only in designated regional areas of Australia for 5 years

  • Travel to and from Australia for 5 years

  • if eligible, apply for permanent residence after 3 years from the time your visa is granted

To be eligible, you must:
  • Under 45 years old; unless you meet the exemption criteria

  • Be sponsored by an approved employer

  • Have relevant skills, qualifications and work experience

  • Have at least 3 years relevant work experience

  • Undergo a skills assessment for the occupation

  • Must have at  least competent English

  • Meet additional requirements of the relevant stream.

Student and Temporary Graduate Visas

This visa allows you to:
  • Stay in Australia, usually for 18 months

  • Hong Kong and British National Overseas passport holders may stay for 5 years

  • Live, study and work in Australia temporarily

  • Bring your family members

To be eligible, you must:
  • You must be under 35 years old when you apply. You can be under 50 years of age when you apply if you hold a Hong Kong or BNO Passport.

  • Hold a current student visa or previously held a student within the past 6 months and hold an eligible visa

  • You must have been awarded at least one associate degree, diploma or trade qualification in the 6 months before applying  and meet the Australian study requirement

  • Recently graduated with skills and qualifications that Australia needs

  • Undergo a skills assessment for the occupation

  • Meet IELTS 6.5 (or equivalent) with a minimum score of 5.5 for each band or equivalent

  • Meet additional requirements of the relevant stream.

This visa allows you to:
  • Stay in Australia, usually for 2 to 3 years, depending on your qualification.

  • Hong Kong and British National Overseas passport holders may stay for 5 years

  • Live, study and work in Australia temporarily

  • Bring your family members

To be eligible, you must:
  • You must be under 35 years old when you apply.

  • You can apply if you are under 50 years of age and either meet the Australian study requirement through a Masters (research) or Doctoral Degree (PhD), or hold a Hong Kong or BNO passport.

  • Hold a current student visa or previously held a student within the past 6 months and hold an eligible visa

  • Meet the Australian study requirement and complete a course for at least two academic years

  • Hold and eligible qualification at degree-level or above

  • Have skills and qualification that Australia needs

  • Undergo a skills assessment for the occupation

  • Meet IELTS 6.5 (or equivalent) with a minimum score of 5.5 for each band or equivalent

  • Meet additional requirements of the relevant stream.

This visa allows you to:
  • Stay up to 5 years in line with your enrolment

  • Participate in an eligible course of study in Australia

  • Travel in and out of Australia

  • Work up to 48 hours a fortnight when your course of study or training is in session.

To be eligible, you must:
  • Aged 6 or older

  • Be enrolled in a course of study and provide evidence

  • Make welfare arrangements if under 18 years old

  • Meet English language requirements; unless exempted

  • Hold an eligible visa if applying in Australia

  • Have enough money for your stay

  • Be a genuine student

  • Meet additional requirements of the relevant stream.
